Classically trained Ayurvedic physician, educator, and guide to balanced, sustainable healing.

Portrait of Dr. Anu Ram

Dr. Anu Ram is a classically trained Ayurvedic physician, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) and a Doctor of Medicine in Ayurvedic Internal Medicine (Kayachikitsa) from Mumbai University, India. For the past 27 years, she has treated patients and taught the next generation of practitioners — serving as an Ayurveda professor at colleges across India and California, and continuing today as faculty at Saybrook University.

Dr. Anu believes true healing begins by looking inward. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “the knowledge of life” — a tradition that treats each person as a complete, unique whole, inseparable from the rhythms of nature around them. Living in step with those rhythms, she teaches, is how we find Samyama: a state of balanced, sustainable healing.
